Visible Platform Water Maze Task
Animals were tested on a fixed location visible platform water maze task. This task can be acquired by independent hippocampal and nonhippocampal memory systems, allowing assessment of which memory system is being utilized.
Note: This task was used to assess whether stress enhanced the use of nonhippocampal-based memory to acquire the task, in contrast to the hidden platform version which is hippocampal-dependent.
